Sound in an Amphitheater

So for the past two weeks I've had the pleasure of working with Mark Brodin, the systems designer for the Burning Hills Amphitheater. During this time we have pulled out cable that is about a decade old, pulled in new cable that will hopefully allow the show to run more smoothly for the next few years, replaced faders on our digital board, fully cleaned all of amplifiers, checked all of the microphones, and Aviom in ear monitor system, ordered new parts, and a few other things that I'm sure I'm forgetting. It has been crazy busy and we aren't even done yet folks! We still need to get a set piece all wired up and tested, but we are waiting on parts. Not to mention that the actual theater it self needs to be cleaned and some repairs need to be done as well. Needless to say, here in Medora or at the Amp, its always busy even after opening. I'll post some pictures below about some of the process that we went through.
The Amp rack that powers the sound system

Cleaning the amp rack, each piece was removed, opened up, and had all of the dust blown out.

Inside the fader bay, removing the bad faders, replacing them with the new faders.

Amp and Prep season vibe

Ten year old instal cable that was used for a year, took an hour to clean up.

New Cat 6A cable (white) and new Coax Cable (black), on the spool, getting ready to travel to its new home.

Why yes, that is a fly in a giant bottle of hand sanitizer. It was very preserved.

The new stage rack that will on the Gazebo. Words cannot express my excitement.
  Have a great night!
